Our   Story

The P.I.P.E.L.I.N.E. Project was founded in 2024 with the mission of assisting underserved communities and minority high school students in the Onslow County area in gaining access to college by creating opportunities for students to enhance their marketability for college admissions and scholarships. Our goal is to reroute the school to prison pipeline by developing and empowering minority students and underserved communities through education, mentorship, and resource provision, ensuring equitable access to higher education so that students may achieve individual success and become leaders of the future.

With over 18 years of dedicated experience in education, Dr. Matthews is a passionate advocate for children and their potential. As a teacher and school administrator, Dr. Matthews has witnessed firsthand the transformative power of education and the systemic barriers that often stand in the way of student success. This experience has fueled a lifelong commitment to breaking down these barriers, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
